The Plan Unfolds

THE PLAN UNFOLDS

God’s plan for humanity
began like a tiny seed.
In this seed
Is contained the magnificence of a huge cedar tree,
and within this tiny seed
lies the future of millions of other seeds
which will take form as the great tree grows.

In the seed of life,
and all is marvellously programmed within.
As the seed unfolds,
as the child is conceived,
so it begins to grow
and we begin to see its beauty.
All that was hidden in the seed
begins to be revealed
as it unfolds.

The fullness of the plan of God
-----is an unfathomable secret,
-----known in its entirety only to God.
But each person
in the long, immensely long, line of generations
is able to say “yes” or “no” freely
to the unfolding of this plan—
a very little “yes” or “no”—
but freely said.

To the poverty of our human minds
the possibility of a destiny conceived by God,
and freedom,
seem contradictory.
Yet it is not so.
For the wisdom of God
and his respect of each person is so great,
that a destiny of ultimate fulfilment,
and individual freedom,
are gently married,
-----and the glory of God and of creation
-----flows from this union.

God has the secret
of loving us to freedom,
inviting us to share in the creativity of love.
